After many speculations complication and machinations about the health of Ethiopia PM Meles Zenawi, the curtain has now fallen. The government announced the death of Zenawi just yesterday without going into the specifics of the cause of his death nonetheless. Again, Zenawi will be remembered as the guy who changed Ethiopia in both good and bad ways. On the one hand, he ruled with the iron fist. This has no doubt about it. On the other hand, he ushered in some economic and fiscal changes. Many projects were constructed under his watch. So too, corruption dogged his administration especially the role his wife, Azeb Mesfin played in corruption. She got a moniker of Queen of Mega namely the Queen of Mega corruption. Now that the man is gone, it is time for Ethiopia to forge ahead by learning from his mistakes. He was neither an angel nor was he a devil. Who was Meles Zenawi?
