The Chant of Savant

Well, well, Freddie, don’t break my ribs again!

Politicians are funny creatures just like magicians. Sometimes, they tell lies and promise heavens as they deliver hell. In a phrase, they perform acrobatics. Again, what transpired recently made me change my take on politicians. One Freddie Tuwahi Sumaye left me in stitches after accusing his party of corruption.
You know what; after being defeated in the game of eating and cheating, Freddie rushed against his party saying that it was dogged with corruption. True, Freddie left me with many more questions than answers.
Firstly, does it mean Freddie did gravely suffer from the mess he created? Again, didn't Freddie realize that once power slips from hands you become the opposite of what you used to be? A pretentious veneer of respectability does away and you become a commoner, if not, a “nobody.” In power, you are but an angel that can demonize anybody telling you the right things to do. History is a good witness. Once you’re out of office, you just cascade back to “demonhood” as it happened to Freddie.
Essentially, when Freddie expounded that whoever that wanted his business to shrive should join CCM, didn't he know who own CCM—those in power? Anyway, Freddie has nobody to blame except himself for nurturing that vice. So too, Freddie has no moral authority whatsoever to point a finger at CCM if at all his son is still enjoying goodies at Bank of Titans otherwise known as Bank of Tzed (BoT).
Maybe, just maybe, Freddie is becoming old so as to easily forget what he uttered yesterday. Ageing is a bad process. It makes you forget even simple stuff. Maybe, this is happening out of devastation. So too, ageing makes you blames others even if they’re the ones you produced such as corrupt guys and hyenas not to forget economic sharks that shrive under CCM. For instance, it’s alleged that Marry Nyago forged her PhD. When allegations surfaced, she threatened to sue to no avail. Circumstantially, this suffices to convince me that there was, and still is; something fishy on how she obtained her PhD. Did Sumaye see it the same was as me before being beaten by the suspect? Of course nope! Kulindana and now kuangushana!
When it comes to allegations that Nyago used money to suffocate and later defeat you, understand Freddie. This is the product of joining CCM--- her biz is now booming thanks to protectionism and opportunism CCM created for such gawks. thanks to her heeding your call to join CCM.
True, Freddie, don’t break my ribs. Seriously, don’t my friend. You know what? When some kamikaze guys told you and your boss that our hunk was stinking with corruption, you called them names. Your friend-cum- boss Benny Makapu used to say that those telling you the right things were as jealous as women. Now look Freddie. Marry Nyago used the same “female jealousness’ to turn tables against you! Had she used ‘male jealousness’, she’d have invited Protection and Condoning Corruption Bureau (PCCB) to dig into your past and book you. You know what? The other day I was reading one newspaper to find that some smart guys documented many things about you. They documented that Tshs. 50,000,000 you scooped from one public firm, farms and parcels of land you obtained in Moro and 500,000,000 you spent in the country of Obama before September 11.
Freddie, when you invited the media to set the records straight many goofed thinking that you’d address all the basics instead of politicking and flinching as you did. They wrongly thought: you’d blast your establishment. Poor them! Didn't they know that nobody cuts the hand that feeds him? They needed to know that you are a politician who can say anything. Essentially, when cornered the vulture cries wolf.
Freddie, now that  you've been slapped in face, what are you going to do? Importantly, remember. When good Samaritans were telling you of fighting corruption, they meant to help you to avoid such a shame of being bought out of power as it recently happened. There was no fitting way to set records straight like this. Sadly though, you lost it. Even those who booted you out will one day face the same. For he who lives by the sword, dies by the sword. It is unfortunate that power intoxicates so as to cause myopia. Hegel once said that history is always there because people learn nothing out of it. It becomes even evidently sad if those in question are so myopic that their ability to see is the length of their noses. How many do you think we currently have Freddie? I’m not peppering you with a barrage of questions today. Again, I can hedge my bet and you can take this to the bank. The defeat rendered you politically impotent. If you jump the ship do it not for seeking presidency. The timing is wrong and the stars align in a wrong way. Had you sensed the wind of humiliation prior you’d have become diamond not liability. Whatever you do now, will be judged as vengeance and devastation. Fait accompli. People will argue, “If he failed to win just a district position how he can win presidency? Whoever that tells you that you can reclaim your fame, tell him to tell it to the birds. No how Freddie, you’re caught between the rock and the hard place. Again, well, well, Freddie, don’t break my ribs anymore.
