Makamba, do fear God Please

GIVEN that the season of politicking for the 2015 elections has started, all aspirants will be out and about. I recently heard Jan Makamba, the deputy minister for Comm., Sci. & Tech liken himself with Prophet Nehemiah whom God ordered to take up the ministry at tender age.
Makamba quoted Jeremiah 1: 4-10: 'Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you before you were born; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.”

How dare he compare himself with Nehemiah who’s selfless and God-fearing. Nehemiah wasn’t a self-seeker scheming for mundane power in a country of Richmonduli, EPA, IPTL, UDA and  other  scandals whereby the high and mighty eat with both hands, unwashed?

Please Jan, fear God! Do you mean God appointed you to become Govt. minister? If I were President Jake Kiquette, I’d fire you and see if God'd reappoint you!

Is Makamba  showing 'u-Dini' on a mission to become president?
Surely, he should find another way of attaining his goal(s).

God and prophets have nothing to do with the power hunger of mortals. Why doesn’t Makamba tell us unequivocally that he wants to run for President?

But then again, one observer said he sees no qualities in Makamba as such to make him President – even of a country like Tanzania!

Although boozers like the writer are seen as 'fyatus,' they nonetheless do have a point once in a while!

Apart from being a rookie, Makamba needs to tell us what good, positive, he has ever done for our country!

Makamba was quoted quoting the Bible, saying that “God in His holy book wants a leader or deacon not to be quarrelsome, not to love money. He must manage his own family well. If one does not know how to manage one's own family, how can one take care of a church or a country?”

Well, well, well... Our country is looking for a president, not a cleric. Ironically, if looking after one’s family well would be one of the qualifications for a State President, some of those enjoying 'ulaji' at the Magogoni White House wouldn’t have even got close to the place in the first place!

Again, saying that a leader shouldn’t love money is a big lie. In our country, power means money-making, period!

Given that boozers know everything the 'vi-Gogo' and their offspring do, it's time to tell wishy-washy presidential aspirants that we don’t want them in the Highest Office in the Land.

One boozer left us in stitches when he quoted (Biblical) Hebrew 3:12, saying, 'take care, brothers, lest there be in any of you an evil, unbelieving heart, leading you to fall away from the Living God.'

Before anybody could chip in, another quoted Genesis 6:12, which says, '...and God saw the Earth and, behold, it was corrupt, for all flesh had corrupted their way on the Earth!'

Another wound up the story by quoting John 8:44, in which Jesus addresses the masses: 'you are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father's desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and has nothing to do with the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies...'

Indeed. It always amazes me when the wicked are quoting holy books. Even amidst all the plundering, philandering and other assorted malfeasances, they still have the unmitigated gall to lecture the rest of us on matters holy or secular.

Our current State House resident also is always exhorting the religious leaders to tell their congregations one thing or another. Reminds me of your sheep analogy. The crooks believe they can bamboozle us into another term by quoting the Scriptures.

You are right Jaribu. They always think that they are the custodians of thoughts and knowledge almost of anything. It is sad that the piece was mutilated in editing it. I am planing it to republish the same with another media house.

The message got across, Mhango and that is all that matters.

Jaribu I understand what you mean. Again, the weight of the message I wanted to put across isn't the same as wished to. I thus will see to it that it gets across as intended.

Honestly, I am not against religion but Utterly against all people (Politician) using holy books quotes to justify their both dirty and sins actions of which highlighting the whole picture today(corruption, drug smuggler, poachers, breach of human rights, poor healthy and education system, poor roads qualities in constructions etc .

The Africans are running behind in today's world in all sectors compared to other world of serious Political Leaders because of imagination that (religious) politicians are their for the country future.

If I had chance to contribute into this so called new Country Constitutional Process to stop Politicians to stop them using these faithful quotes holy books int their speeches

By the way Does January Makamba deserve to be called Younger leader in what sense....!!? May be the definition of younger person has changed then January Makamba may qualify to be
categorized as the younger leader....

But As far I know that January Makamba does not deserve to be called younger leader......

As he deliver anything important for his country to date? The answer is NO then he must remain quiet and stop these stories...

Today Tanzania as Country needs leader with Nationalism spirit and full commitment to his/her Country.

We don't need words, age related issues....we dont want to hear these stories...We tired to hear these faithful quotes have been stated for years years and nothing has changed...!?

You have a point. He quoted the bible as if everybody believe in it. Is he trying to pit Christians against Muslims and Non-believers? Again what his youthfulness help the country?
Thanks for participating forthwith in this discussion.
