Hearing how some politicians opposed to each other are trashing each other left right and center, you ask yourself. Do these fellas think the Wananchi are but local yokels or washamba or nerds? Do they think they’ve neither eyes nor ears see and hear not to mention marbles upstairs? Why do they pretend to think they can see what Wananchi can’t see? Why do they want to see for them as if Wananchi, have refused to see? Why do they want to think for the Wananchi as if Wananchi’s brains are frozen if not rotten? Why do they pummel them with starry-eyed lies and innuendos as if Wananchi don’t know or see the truth, they’re unable to see?
Today’s epistle’s about telling what many, who aren’t pleased with it, don’t, at all, want to hear, if anything. Theirs is to hear their essentialized truth. For, I heard some of them brazenly hiring their yoked hoodlums to attack each other’s entourages and meetings. Really? Seriously? Why attacking each other violently while, if you think, you have what it takes, you can assure yourself that those ‘yoked’ chaps jamming your meetings will in the end give you Kura ya kula? If you trust them why are you worried if at all your intention is not only to milk them by giving them empty promises and ridiculous things such as trolleys? If, indeed, Wananchi are yoked yokels, how do you think they can vote for you while what you are doing and telling them proves how you don’t respect their intelligence? Should they blindly and willy-nilly trust quacks who openly have proved they are after power but not leading the Wananchi? In Tanzania, we utterly fear those who lie like nobody’s business like leprosy à la Mwalimu Nyerere? Wananchi are not like fish that you would fry with their oil? Methinks; a corrupt country like the one the self-seekers are seeking to rob has better fish to fry than their hocus-pocus. This reminds me of an African proverb, which warns that beware of a naked person who offers you clothes. Beware of the homeless who wants to house you.
It is important to know why such kura and kula seekers allege Wananachi must be yoked under various lies and pretexts such as classism, regionalism, toxic ethnicism and many. These cannot deliver anybody including themselves. Instead, they’ll create chaos from which many so-called hustlers/rip-off artists or followers of dynasties will suffer while those preaching water and drinking wine will hop into their choppers and fly the county when it is burning thereof. They promise heaven while they have been keeping in and pushing those they cheat to the hell on earth. Some are calling themselves hustlers while they are stinkingly opulent. They want to embark on the enslavement of Wananchi by singing them a suit gospel of salvation that–––in spite of never worked anywhere–––has never saved anybody including itself. Wananchi need to know that what they want is nothing but an environment that will enhance them to bring food to the table, take kids to school, get medical services, live life and have a future. The rest is but hogwash so to speak.
Again, Wananachi inordinately forced to not use their heads since those self-appointed saviours be they hustlers, floozies or whatever will take that risky task to think on their behalf simply because they think they are but yokels who cannot think for themselves. What does it mean, for example, someone to promise to oddly give someone a pushcart in the 21st century? The world is talking of automation of almost everything. Others are shamelessly talking about pushcarts! Are they afraid of repeating the same ploy of promising computers to Wananchi’s children that they have never delivered on? The sage has it; fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Yes, Wananchi are not just local yokels that can be bitten twice in the same hole. Indeed, the spirit and zeal those seeking power are using as they toyi-toyi can make sense if they wrap their heads around ideals but not divisive and toxic ethnic politics. They must remember the PEV -2007, which, undeniably, adversely affected those they’re now calling rip-off artists or anything close. Those self-seekers weren’t affected even when they’re brought to justice to The Hague. Their connivers saved their necks by obstructing justice vis-à-vis accessing evidence that would incriminate them. The sage has it that if you want to kill a dog, just give it a bad name. who wants to be hustler of any kind where there’s hope and sensible leadership?
Before endorsing any of the two narratives, Wananchi need to honestly and seriously ask themselves; how are we benefiting from their policies that have never existed or schemes that we all know? We also need to meticulously, probe them. Are they what they truly say they are or what those they say are, are really those that they say they are? let’s look at their history. The so-called dynasties have their pedigree from penury. Let’s start with Kenyatta. Where did Jomo Kenyatta come from? He was a meter reader who biked the city reading the meters. Was he a dynasty? Where can such a pauper get the dynastic blood amidst penury? Was Odinga dynastic man? How if at all he was unable to pay for his school fees. Where does his son get the dynastic blood? The narrative is the same for Daniel arap Moi and Moses Mudavadi.

The dynasties I can talk of in Africa did not exist since independence.
If they dynasties evolved after the founder paupers, well, those making noises about dynasties such as William Rut are also the part and parcel of the dynasties they are castigating and condemning. Can a person who is said to have five choppers without recanting be a pauper or hustler? Ironically, this person, instead of talking about how enjoying a chopper ride, is always talking about wheelbarrow! How? If telling Wananchi to avoid dynasties however fake they are is a big deal, why are those saying so not afraid of living in posh lives as they’ve always done since they grabbed money and property under Kanu regime? Logically, you can’t condemn something simply because your enemy does or has it whilst you too are acting like the cockerel that taught the chicks to poo in the bedroom. If you look at the proponents of rip-off artistry, they just live in Karen and Muthaiga like those they accuse do. What difference does it have for such a people? Colonial governors built and lived in many modern statehouses of Africa. Aren’t presidents and government top dogs living in colonial structures–––we inherited from our colonial masters–––modern colonial masters hidden under many pretexts and tags? Let us face it. Who is fooling whom here? The axe forgets, the tree remembers African sage has it.
Don’t we have fake dynasties and hustlers amidst us? Whom such people serve between us they think are yokels and their deception and greed hidden in fake love? Those accusing others of dynasticism everyday are getting closer and closer to it as they long time drift away from the hustlers they are now preaching. Be fair and honest to yourselves. If becoming rich for politicians is by the way of rooting Mwananchi as has been the case for many years, who’ll survive this sin? I hate to hear the insinuations of ‘we are with you’ while they’re against you. Wananchi are not local yokels to keep on hearing the same ballyhoo, insinuations and hoo-ha that they’ve never profited from. Are Wananchi such yahoos and yo-yos? Ask them to stop telling their lies. Their proxies will start to yo-yo and call you names without necessarily providing any substance whatsoever. Guys, do you think Wananachi are all yokels that you can easily manipulate and trick? Please, go tell it to the birdies. When they analyse what you tell them they know who’s who; and what’s what about what you are telling them.
In sum, whenever anybody takes on these fakers––I like to call swindlers–––one’ll be helping to prove that Wananchi are not yokels. I must say it right from the bat: we need to decolonise and deconstruct everything as far as the narratives and nuances of dynasties and hustler are concerned Do I sound like Jar Jar Binks of the Star Wars speaking Ebonics? For those marionettes who are hand in gloves with their beloved fakers, this sounds ludicrously giddy and goofy. Again, when the roots are deep there is no reason to fear the wind African sage has it. There is no need of causing chaos for getting ne plus ultra. Nobody can deny this. The narrative of dynasties and hustler needs to be doubted and microscopically examined in order to avert the misleading aimed to be. Never leave anything to chance as far as knowing what’s in the curtain on dynasties and hustler are concerned.
