Is Colonialism Surging to the Level It Was in the 19th Century?

What is happening in Venezuela has a lot to tell about the resuscitation of  colonialism in its crude and raw nature. The US is shamelessly involved in regime change in Venezuela simply because the current regime refused to be its puppet that would allow it to degrade and exploit the country. To make matters worse, even countries that pretend to be the champions of democracy and human rights such as Canada has cowered and supported this criminality committed by the country that portrays itself as the champion of democracy that has never existed or helped itself to become democratic. What would happen if somebody says that he or she recognises Hilary Clinton as a legitimate of the US thanks to the flawed and doctored election of Donald Trump whose government is still under probe revolving around Russian collusion? Does Trump have any moral ground and sanity to teach anybody democracy while he's the product of chicanery and manipulation of the system? Can the US or Canada teach anybody democracy while their existence resulted from the genocide of Indigenous people? Can the EU teach anybody democracy while their riches were made by colonising and enslaving others?
After the US came up with its ploy of scuttling Venezuelans by installing its puppet, Juan Guaido, the EU and other US's allies followed the suit by recognising Guaido as the interim president. The major reasons given for wanting regime change in Venezuela is that the incumbent president Nicholas Maduro is a dictator, which he actually is. However, if compared to the one in Saudi Arabia that recently admitted to have killed journalist Jamal Khashoggi in its Istanbul consulate, the one in Venezuela is better. Again, this murderous dictatorship in Saudi Arabia is democratic provided that it has consented to be in bed with the US under a very eccentric and myopia president Trump. The US and its allies are interested in oil. This is why when Sudanese rose up against their long time dictator, Omar Bashir, the same didn't help because Sudan does no longer have oil.
It seems that the US and its allies did not learn from their messes in Iraq and Libya just of recent blunders they committed not to mention Syria and Yemen that are now burning while millions of citizens are dying and suffering. We need to ask ourselves. Is the problem in Venezuela dictatorship or resources especially oil? If the US and its allies get their way, how many countries with resources they will destabilise after some of their leaders refuse to be in bed with them?
Behind the ploy veiled as the quest for the US and allies to stand for democracy in Venezuela is not only hypocritical and pathetic but also stinking. It goes against the Peace of Westphalia 1648, the Treaties colonial powers enacted to protect the sacrosanctness of the sovereignty of every state globally.  All sovereign states are entitled to dealing with their internal affairs without any foreign influences or intervention as i is the case in Venezuela currently. How can democratic regime be brought to power by the way of coup as it is seen in Venezuela? How can a truly democratic regime in Venezuela be brought to power by imperial powers whose veiled agenda is nothing but seeking the means of exploiting resources by fanning conflict and misunderstanding among Venezuelans?  How can democratic government befitting for the interests and needs of the people be a creature of colonisers? How can true democratic rules be used  based on discrimination as it is the case of Saudi Arabia and Venezuela? Is this the resurgence  of the 19th colonialism wherein European powers invaded and colonised other countries? What is the answer to this blatant criminality committed by those pretending to preach democracy and justice while they are the very same criminals openly violating them? How many countries are going to follow shall this ploy succeed? Will Venezuela go  Libya way to end up suffering even more? For how long will imperialists decide the fate of poor countries? They are many more questions than answers.
