YANK IMTU DOWN FOR GOOD

How did you feel when you noted that human body parts were castoff in the rubbish dump as if they’re dogs or condoms? It happened. The so-called International Medical and Technological University (IMTU) shamelessly and heartlessly disposed 85 plastic bags full of body parts that were discovered in Mpiji River valley in the outskirts of Dar recently. It is outrageous, sacrilegious and traumatic, of course, to note that we've human beings who can treat others inhumanely in the name of money making in the country priding itself of equality, rule of law and civilization. Government corrupt officials pampering such heartless being in the backs need to think like humans knowing that today they’re in offices and tomorrow they won’t. Thus this can happen to them or their beloved ones.
Spooky as it is, I’m still trying to ponder on it sanely and politely. What your reaction would have been had those whose body parts thrown to the landfill been your beloved ones? What if those parts belongs to you or your wife, husband, son, daughter, brother, father, aunt you name it?  To cap it all, lawyers come out and tell you that there is no law governing the disposal of human remains in the country. Try to think again.  How’d you react underscoring that those behind this despicable acts are known for their racism? To add salt to injury you’re told those abusing humanity are referred to as professional in the field charge with teaching other professionals. Are they professionals or quacks posing as professionals in the first place?  Try to imagine. How the situation would have been had those discrediting human remains were Africans committing such a sacrilege in India. Those were the questions that tormented my head when I first heard the news of this psychosis committed on the soil of the land of Mwl Julius Nyerere who’s renowned for his equality, humanity and dignity.
Now that it happened without our govt condemning the practise. What’d we expect in the first place? Should we keep on lamenting or do something to see to it that justice is done to our beloved ones? Where’s the govt that’s always made us to believe that it is in power to defend and protect us including our humanity and dignity? Every sane mind’ll tell you that the first thing to do should have been to close down the thing while waiting for the completion of investigation. Again, politics will come into the big picture and soon and angels who committed this sacrilege will get away with it as they keep on doing their simian business. This is Bongo without brain where every criminal can come and commingle with others to rob abuse and degrade us wantonly. For how long’ll this diabolic and melancholic practise go on unabated? My heart’s breeding as it goes out for those deceased brothers and sisters whom human monkey are degrading simply because they are able to buy their freedom out.
We’re told that there’s no law governing the disposal of human remains. If there’s no law, it means.  Those behind this macabre’ll keep on molesting our remains. Given that we've no law that can be applied to look into this shocking crime which isn't a crime due to the lacunae, should we stay side and look as our humanity is degraded and abused pointlessly due to legal technicality? We need to use ethical laws to punish these human abusers. The society needs to wake to see to it that it shows the world that it is self-conscious. It’d agitate and call for the closure of IMTU henceforth. Shall those abetting the criminals prevail then nobody’d blame the people for taking law in their hands. Who wants such anarchy and mob justice while the authorities can still do the right thing, closed down IMTU?
Again, professional ethics prevent such practices as the president of Medical Association of Tanzania (MAT) Dr. Primus Saidia urges, “Human body and even the body parts, are treated with respect after use in medical institutions. This is a worldwide practice but their dumping them in the open here in Tanzania is a clear violation of medical ethos.” This being the rule, we’re sure that the authorities will use it to close down the bloody thing purporting to be a medical and technological institutions while it is a quack thanks to disposing body parts in the landfill.
After IMTU committed the said disgraceful act I went to its website and found this: IMTU believes in gently nurturing the intellect to serve the humanity. Is this the way IMTU is gently nurturing intellect and serving humanity? Who does this humanity mean, African or Indian?  The website goes on saying, “IMTU is the pride of India in Tanzania and a shining example of South- South concept of development.” Wow! If this is the kind of pride and development, Tanzanians, even Africans don’t want it. Closed down IMTU, confiscate the property of IMTU and pack and send them back to Indian after punishing them for not abiding by the rule and laws of medical practising in the country.
