Isn’t Makamba a let down to CCM?

No doubt, many analysts have taken on Jakaya Kikwete and other supremos in the ranks sparing one of his lieutenants Yusuf Makamba CCM’s general secretary. Today I’ll loot at Makamba whom I regard a bit fickle. Makamba came in full-blooded so as to end, as it seems, full-bore. He was a then a hot cake. Now there he is up a gum tree!

My concern is, especially my observation, that Makamba’s regime has become laissez-aller and laissez-faire reminiscent to corruption. His has been a Bob-the-builder-like world!

In other words, Makamba is soft on corruption in his party that eats the fiddleheads eaters. He has left things to take care of themselves whilst his chairman is laden with scams in his government. When he’s told of this truth he does go gaga! But this is the naked truth that the party is seriously asunder.

True, he promised he’d unite the party. Now, instead of being tough at the toff in dividing the party, he’s become a tuff for them! One may lucubrate.

Living in a time-warp, one may think; perhaps maybe, Makamba, at least, would start delivering. Looking at the time already lapsed, Makamba ought to chart his way timely and carefully shall CCM deserve to successfully perform well in the year 2010.

Whatever he promised does not come off. Desperate as he is now, he’s been depending on cheap PR by his cronies and bootlickers.

Needless to say his long-shot administration seems to be abaft from meeting its commitments. People are loudly and relentlessly asking; where is Nyerere’s gung-ho of the hoi polloi that promised the exodus to Canaan and all yum-yum and other goodies Kikwete promised during the campaigns.
There are those saying that politically CCM is hoky-dory though practically weak and inept. All this political goods are mere mirage. When it comes to the member in the street, it a whole different ball game! Sadly, no putative efforts are made to put records straight! Everything is envenomed.

While this is going on, corruption has rocked the already violently shaken and poor performing CCM and government. The government originating from CCM, too, has its share; it’s been dogged with infightings and implicated in many damning scams.

Much time is spent on gawking and bickering. The so-called Mitandao are at its behest of fostering their desire especially having their members in the kitchen.

There are those who see Makamba as a charlatan destined to become yet another political.

This become evident especially when Makamba failed to slap on the wrist those involved in wrong doings in the party and the government. Refer to the exposure and exit of his former prime minister and friend, Edward Lowassa who was booted out by the parliament select committee. Unfortunately for Makamba and CCM, NEC recently exonerated him!

Instead of reprimanding them, CCM under Makamba used to slap them on the back as opposed to the hoi polloi who wanted them slapped in the face.

Another matter dressing Makamba down is the impasse in Zanzibar. Makamba’s proved to be a liability in lieu of the asset as far as this pinch is concerned. The head of the revolutionary government of Zanzibar, Amani Karume seems to steal the show with more impacts even than his boss himself. Where is Makamba hither who messed when it comes to seeking muafaka? Now Karume is so powerful that he has categorically ignored all calls for forming a Government of National Unity (GNU). This is another slap in the face for Makamba as an operational manager of the party.

Makamba has been relying on slapdash by his party’s fundamentalists especially in Zanzibar so as to raise the ire of the donors. Belgium and German have already registered their discomfiture with the whole situation.

Though critics are taken as quidnuncs, with advisors like Makamba, Kikwete’s Paulo-post-future will tell all quiddity of what he has done.

Makamba among others that has tearing the government and the party of Kikwete needs to be shown the door.

Off the cuffs, too to be shown the door is Salva Rweyemanu the head of presidential press. Since he came in, he has cause many more controversies than any person that once served in this capacity. Like Makamba, Rweyemamu has become more of a charlatan and a slow learner. For the stint he’s been in office, he’s made many mistakes. This needs the whole article.
