Is the US becoming a dystopian or a terrorist state?

Recent mass killings that claimed 29 lives in El Paso Texas and Dayton Ohio in the United States seems to have, once again, shocked the world. Nonetheless, for the US, such mass killings are not a new thing to the in the country where gun ownership is not only a rampant but also a right. However, this right is now causing a lot of problems due to the fact that some of those enjoying it seem not to allow others to enjoy their most cardinal of all right, the right to life.

Due to the repetitive nature of such mass killings and authorities’ response thereby, it seems, slowly, the US is not only becoming a dystopian but also a terrorist state. Instead of taking tough measures such as the New Zealand in May took after a single shooting in, the authorities in the US is dragging its feet. After being informed of the killings, president Donald Trump, the staunch advocate of gun right tweeted “We cannot let those killed in El Paso, Texas, and Dayton, Ohio, die in vain. Likewise, for those so seriously wounded. We can never forget them, and those many who came before them. Republicans and Democrats must come together and get strong background checks, perhaps marrying....”
Due to Trump being a lame duck, racist and pro-guns,  former VP Joe Biden accused him of exacerbating the situation noting that his rhetoric "contributed to at a minimum— at a minimum—of dumbing down the way in which we as a society talk about one another." Essentially, Americans are paying the price for their love of guns. The situation seems to become worse under Trump who careless.
Like any gun rights defender, Trump seems to use rhetoric instead of actions as he buys time, especially at this time the US is heading for the general elections. Will this adequately address the problem? Hell no. How many should die so as the authorities to wake up from its slumber? If the US, the most powerful national on earth is powerful and stronger economically and military, why can’t use this power to protect its people instead of allowing them to protect themselves? Many still wonder. How can the nation that is renowned for helping others to fight terrorism has failed to fight the same within its borders.
The US needs to start examining itself. For example, one of the symbols of the US is its official motto ‘In God We Trust’ that appears on its currency. Methinks time for the US to change this motto. It must write ‘In Guns We Trust.’ For, if the US were trusting in God, it had no reasons whatsoever to allow its people to destroy others and the nation in the name of gun as the right. Again, looking at how diabolic the US has always acted against others, saying that it trust in God is a mockery to God. The God that the US trusts is in, if anything, it is either a gun or a dollar among many gods this country has.
