Is Ruto’s Philosophy Chopper or Wheelbarrow?

There’s been Kenya-Uganda news after Kenya deputy president William Ruto’s recently barred from flying to Uganda. Those who know whom this man is a friend to know how sensitive this is, especially at this time Kenya is in an election mood. I heard some Kenyan opposition trailblazers complaining that their man’s heading to Uganda to learn how to become life president. Today, I’m not talking about this suspicious political marriage. Instead, I’ll look at the philosophy of Mr Ruto.  In Kenya, when you talk about Ruto, you automatically talk about a wheelbarrow. This old-fashioned machine’s has recently become famous in Kenya for all wrong reasons. Those who grew up in the seventies and eighties would like to believe that the world has advanced when it comes to machines. In those years, having a car’s as good as having a plane today. Having a pushcart then is like having bodaboda today. Why am I now bringing old stories today? Bear with me. It is because of Kenya body politic that has forced me to revisit golden times and modern political gimmicks and hypocrisy.

First of all, I must admit. I love Kenya politicians and hate their cronies and insane followers. Currently, Kenya is entertained to some soap operas revolving around two fake groups, namely the one that calls itself the group of hustlers that calls its antithesis the group of dynasties. When I hear the ruckus and rumpus over dynasties and hustler in the neighbouring Kenya, sometimes I feel like puking. For, you can’t really differentiate between the duo. I’ve some few reasons to posit and hold this way as follows:

Secondly, when I look at the protagonists of the puerile assertion, namely, Ruto and his lieutenants, I see no hustler but monied guys trying to dupe the paupers that they are the same while they indeed aren’t. lucky for them, those jumping into their bandwagon don’t question where they got the money they are using to bribe and purchase them. Despite taking their dupes for a ride, they don’t tell them that the dosh they are swimming is the proceed of robbing real hustlers whom they pretend to belong to while they don’t. this once-kuku seller became a member of dynasty a long time ago when he joined the then ruling Kanu under his tribesman, Daniel arap Moi and minted and printed moola illegally and quickly so as to become a dynasty member whose stint at Kanu for Youth ‘92 notorious group can be said to be his source of power and wealth. The Standard (2017) sums up who Ruto actually is noting that “he donates at least Sh2 million at a single church harambee, sometimes up to three per day.” Can a man coughing such big dosh be a hustler in any sense really?

Thirdly, let’s face it. Is Ruto a hustler just because he once was? Ruto, the guy who can afford to buy choppers not a chopper is really a hustler by any means? Who’s fooling whom here? Ruto’s not even a wheelbarrow philosopher but a jet set who uses the wheelbarrow to dupe the goons. If you want to brand Ruto, he is more of a chopper man than wheelbarrow man. Wherever he goes, he flies on choppers, not hired but his own choppers? Is there any connection of relationship with the wheelbarrow here guys? Nyinyi Wakenya, nani ameroga nyinyi whose brains and eyes can’t see the obvious I’m declining to state here?

Fourthly, let’s reconnoitre the term dynasty and then hustler. As per the online Collins dictionary, the dynasty means is a series of rulers of a country who all belong to the same familyWhich country had Raila Odinga’s clan ever ruled? How can Raila be a dynasty without necessarily having had ruled a country even a county? Who’s fooling whom hither? Ngai, what’s the matter wathamaki na watongolya? Do Raila and Uhuru belong to the same family? Didn’t Ruto and Moi belong to the same Kalenjin family? Do a chopper man and wheelbarrow man belong to the same class really? The answer is obvious for whoever with common sense but not common nonsense. Now, what is an imbroglio-cum-hoo-has are for if everything is as clearly simple as that?

In sum, it doesn’t need to have a PhD in political science to know who a faker is and who is a schemer. Kenyans need to clinically examine the philosophy behind the dynasty and hustler brouhaha.
