MAGUFULIFICATION AND THE WAY IT AWAKENS AFRICANS TO BECOME SELF-CONFIDENT

News that some African countries decided to tackle covid-19 using African herbs might seem laughable for those who always believe that Africa cannot solve its problems. Recently, some African countries decided to use a herb concoction from Madagascar to try to cure covid-19.  Although the herb has not been certified by responsible authorities, trust by African countries in their medicinal wherewithal that used to sustain them before being colonised is a good beginning of self-confidence as a people and a society. Why has it been possible to devour whatever comes from abroad but becomes impossible for Africa to use its own medicines while we know many come from our own herbs and trees? Whatever comes out of this herb should inform us that Africans are now trying to conceptualize and understand who they actually are.
